“Boudreaux Pierre, The Chronicles of a Southern Gentleman,” is the first in a series of short stories and a collection of soul-penetrating poetry, based on the life of Boudreaux Pierre. A modern-day swashbuckler, Boudreaux is a lover of fun, expensive brown liquor and extravagant cigars; but most importantly, he is a lover of women.

 

Growing up in Dallas, Texas, “Bou,” as his friends (and foes) call him, spent most of his young life on the stoops of back-alley liquor stores. While most kids his age were dunking balls on a basketball court or scoring touchdowns on the football field, Bou spent his days hanging out in barber shops and shooting dice with cats twice his age, ingesting their words of wisdom about life, love and hustling.

 

This collective of men were connoisseurs of fine cigars and the ladies, and taught Bou everything there was to know about women – including how to love them, how to live with them and how to leave them. And that’s where the story begins…
